Check out the Detroit farmers market, Cranbrook, Football! Hockey, Baseball, Henry Ford museum.. Ann Arbor art show is the best ever but busy. Midwest is definately different from California. People are mostly friendly, tend to look at you and acnowledge you, when I have been in ca mostly people stared ahead and didn’t look around, odd. Best beaches anywhere on west coast of Michigan, seriously. If you have time must see Frankenmuth and the Christmas store. Summer to Macanac island. Festivals every weekend somewhere. Some decent theater but need more, one of the classic theaters in Howell is getting restored I believe and the fox th is impressive. We are trying to restore the historic theater in mt pleasant and bring more events to central Michigan. Lots of nice folks around the state. Good luck!
