Kevin is so awesome! People he has met may seem genuine because he was here a short time, once he really gets to know Dubuque he will find its a town of Drunks, Judgemental people, snoody people, Self centered people, drug addicts, criminals, cheaters, disrespect two faced backstabbing FAKE PEOPLE and so much more crap including the harsh cold weather 7 months out of the year. I hope he finds those good honest people that are among the few here. I too came from California, not far from Kevin and I must say we will NEVER belong here, we don’t fit in. These people here in Dubuque would NEVER survive in California, you just can’t act like this there. This place is so boring with nothing to do until summer then your options are still very limited. At least he has money to get out of here and go where it’s warmer in fall, winter and spring, always too cold here! I wish him the best and hope it works for him, I wanna move someplace else, I can’t acclimate with weather or people. Everyone talks to me and loves it but still no REAL friends in 22 years!

Our community is the best kept secret of all. I traveled around this great country of ours, and nothing matches the beauty found here along the Mississippi. You would be welcomed here, and you would not be bothered for being a celebrity. Hell, we’re all celebrities here. Plenty of places to build and you’d never regret being a part of who we are, and what we stand for. God, family, friends, and lots of music…

after the first siting of you and your family, the locals will blend you into Dubuque lifestyle……..society. I have seen the movies you made from the area……is Dyersville a choice?…..lol If you get bored, they have this baseball field you can visit..
I am from Dbq and miss living there but family always pull me back.
